Frequently Asked Questions

How do I reserve a date?

We recommend making reservations as soon as you know you want to come on a cruise. Popular cruises sell-out quite often so make your reservation early.

Will we have exclusive use of the ship?

Yes! Private Charters or Corporate clients may reserve one or more decks depending on the number of guests and the type of event. Our Event Coordinator will work closely with you to ensure the optimal arrangement.

Will there be a coordinator on the day of our event?

Yes, someone will be there to help direct your event.

May we bring our own decorations?

Yes, but there are a few restrictions;  no glitter, confetti or open flames are allowed. You are more than welcome to bring your centerpiece. All decorations must be removed immediately following the event. Any decorations left behind after the event will be discarded. While we are happy to help set up any simple decorations, excessive set up is subject to a fee.

May we bring a cake on-board?

Yes! Cakes must be approved  prior to the cruise. Please inquire when making your reservations.

May we bring our own alcohol on-board?

No, we provide a fully stocked bar on both decks, offering a wide selection of wines, beers and spirits.

May we bring our own food on-board?

Private Charter clients may reserve the yacht only and are able to bring their own food. Our Event Coordinator will be able to provide details upon request.

How are deliveries handled?

The delivery time must be coordinated between your Event Planner and the vendor directly to ensure safe and timely delivery as the boat is not always at the dock.

Where will we go on our cruise?

It all depends on the length of your cruise. A typical lunch or dinner cruise will sail south 3 to 6 miles down the river and back to the dock.

What happens if there is bad weather?

Rain does not affect our cruising schedule; however, high winds may have an effect. In the event of severe weather, our Captain will make a determination based on conditions. We always put the safety of passengers above all else.

Will my guests get seasick?

Seasickness is very uncommon on Mystique since she was designed for this type of cruising. The Connecticut river is very calm.

Is the boat wheelchair accessible?

No.

An important note for guests with wheelchairs, walkers, or ambulatory limits…

For safety and insurance requirements, it is necessary that all guests be able to board and move around our vessel without assistance from our team. Our team cannot help guests up or down stairs or carry guests to seats, nor is there storage capacity for wheelchairs and walkers when we are in motion.

There are many variables such as the tall steps for boarding, narrow aisles, small-doored restrooms, potentially steep boat gangway, and dirt or gravel areas near our public docks that may present particular mobility challenges for some guests.

Thank you for your understanding.

Are drinks included with a dining cruise?

Coffee, tea, and water are included with all dining cruises. A cash bar is available on all cruises for the purchase of soft drinks, beer, wine, and mixed drinks.

What if we have additional guests show up the day of our event?

“Walk-ons” will be accommodated provided there is availability on-board. If guests are added at the dock, they must pay in full prior to boarding if using a credit or debit card, or cash payment will be accepted at the dock.

Is there a dress code?

We do not have a dress code. Our passengers dress in everything from casual to formal. We encourage everyone to dress for the occasion they are celebrating.

Is there entertainment?

Live entertainment is included on select public cruises.
